International Testing Week 2022

From November 20 to 26, 2023, the member and partner organizations of the Lusophone Network are joining the initiative promoted by Coalition PLUS and organizing the fourth edition of International Testing Week in Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe, with the availability of rapid testing for HIV, hepatitis B/C and syphilis.

MAKING SCREENING AVAILABLE IN THE COMMUNITY

Community screening is an approach that empowers people belonging to the groups these services are aimed at to receive training and apply the screening to their peers. This strategy helps to eliminate the barriers of stigma and discrimination and to get closer to the most marginalized groups that are at the heart of the dynamics of these epidemics.

Coalition PLUS calls for the national and international implementation of community-based screening, i.e. the implementation of a service provided to and from the communities most vulnerable to these epidemics.
