World AIDS Day is a holiday in Portugal but GAT doesn't stop!

December 1st marks the World AIDS Day. The epidemic is not over yet and neither are we! Despite being a holiday, we will have several services in operation.

GAT, in partnership with the international organization AHF (AIDS Healthcare Foundation), joins the rest of the world in this campaign with the slogan “It's Not Over” to remind world leaders, global public health institutions and civil society that there is still a lot of work if one day we want to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Reports indicate that the world is worryingly off track in reducing new rates of infection and death – which means we must all redouble our efforts, because millions of lives are at stake.

Therefore, in addition to our lobbying and political advocacy activities, as well as screening and support services for several more vulnerable populations, throughout the year, on this 1st we will have the following fixed and mobile services in operation, carrying out confidential screenings and free at the locations listed on the left side of this article, if you're reading it via desktop, or in the top of it, if you're in your mobile.
