Meaningful progress has been made in the fight against HIV and hepatitis regarding knowledge, treatments, and tools. Various international commitments have also been undertaken to end these epidemics. However, the European Union and, more broadly, Europe continue to face several challenges regarding access to prevention, care, and respect for fundamental rights.
